Last day in Korea!

Seoul, South Korea

Around Gangnam in white

Not too long ago I came back to Lithuania after 4 weeks spent in Korea. It was a magnificent journey and I will totally miss that country and its people. Now that I came back home I still have some looks left to post on my blog. Here is one look from a stroll back then in Gangnam! Take the look at my look, which I chose to be very simple and minimalistic this time and some shots from the Banana tree cafe where you can get their well-known flower pot puddings and cotton candy drinks.

The hanbok story

One of the most memorable thing I got to do in Seoul or in all Korea was probably the drama cafe I went to. I know, sounds quite funny, but believe me it's so unique and awesome, that I will remember it for the rest of my life. So the main point here is pretty clear. You go in, choose the dress, order the drink and just after that get dressed yourself. You can be whatever you want, a bride, princess, fairy, or my most favorites were Korean traditional hanboks of Gisaeng (pretty much the same as Japanese geisha), Empress or you can choose any other role in the palace. So I chose the attire of the Empress in bright red. I couldn't even imagine it weights a lot, but it does. The piece was super heavy.
I took some shots there and then had to dress of the dress in order to finish my coffee since you can't do that with the clothes on. It was super awesome experience as you never really do these kind of things on daily basis and not to mention, I got to wear one of the traditional clothing pieces that do excites me the most about this thing.

Kitty paradise in Korea

Some days ago I visited one lovely place in Myeongdong district, Seoul. Believe it or not, it was a cat cafe. In Korea it's a very common phenomenon, to enjoy coffee and pat a kitty at the same time. So I decided to go and see for myself what kind of feeling and place is that so called kitty cafe. And just as I thought, it was nothing, but kitty paradise. Just as we stepped in the cafe, one lovely cutie pie decided to come closer and say 'hi'. When we went to order our coffees, guess who were sleeping on the bartenders table? yup, there were about 5 kitties laying. I don't know how about you, but I was completely taken away. It was really a nice experience and I recommend for you too, go and visit.

Busan, South Korea

Bye Busan!

Not too long ago I came back to Seoul to continue my trip. Being in Busan was a blast to me. I got to be near the ocean and it's such a praising, to tell you the truth. For me, who is born in a Northern Europe to feel the summer heat is something I got to experience really rarely, and I am not going to start to talk about the ocean here. Finally , finally I got my eyes all sore from the ocean salt and my skin got so much better after being some time under the sun. And after such an awesome week in Busan it was time for me to say bye bye and come back to Seoul to finish my journey.

The temple and the girl

Yonggungsa temple on the coast of the ocean was the second attraction we decided to visit in Busan. Here are some photos from today:)

Time stops in Busan

After two weeks spent in Seoul we packed our bags and left to Busan, which is the port city of Korea. I didn't know what to expect since the things I heard about this city were so few. However, now that I am here, I can say that I totally love it. Our hotel rests just on the cost of the ocean, in the Haeunde beach. I may show the surroundings in the coming post as I am planning to take some pictures there. And now I want to show some photos from one day in Gamcheon culture village, which was full of exploring. This place is just fascinating. The roads are so tiny and narrow and the houses are built closely side by side, that it's almost impossible to go through. Elderly women who speak no english but are so eager to talk to foreigners who are passing by. It's just so authentic and you feel the different colours of Korea.

Lost and found in Seoul

On one of the last days spent in Seoul we decided to head to some traditional dessert place to taste the sweets that were here long long time ago and even now they're just as popular. On our way we stopped to take some photos and as you can see I am wearing my super awesome vintage, military-like jacket. I am totally loving it!

The colour block

How is it going with your summer looks, guys? not struggling at all? like at all? Because well in Korea I took my ten top most wearable clothes I use to wear all the time and the rest is up to me to buy on spot when I feel like it's going to match the goodies I have in my luggage. It's some kind of telepathic stylist job that you have to do here. It's not that easy, to match clothes that you have with the ones you see in stores and make the outfits in your head only, because you can't dress everything up and see it how it really looks. So yeah, for me to keep making up the outfits and posting them on blog daily, like I usually do, in Korea is quite challenging. But then again, do they all have to be extravagant and breath-catching? nope. Do they all have to make me look, like I am going to some fashion week? nope. That is why I don't feel any pressure at all here and I am just cool with posting stuff that I am traveling with and this time it's the colour block that I came up five minutes before actually heading out to the center. Feel free to judge guys? And if you have time, feel free to share your traveling outfits. What are they like? I am curious to know.

Hello Kitty Cafe

Hello from Seoul, everyone! Here I am again with another post from this amazing country, this time I took some shots of the Hello Kitty Cafe in Seoul  that I got to visit some days ago. To match the theme I picked my new pink bodysuit which I got as a gift from Tally Weijl! It matched perfectly with my new trousers which I got to buy in the local market in Seoul. The price was only 3 euros, can you imagine that?!? Planning to buy more of these in the coming days. definitely. This sporty/chic kinda look was just perfect for this hot day in Seoul and especially in this super cute cafe!

Pink heels and the Palace

10 days in Korea has passed and I can say I love it more and more. I am already preparing my luggage for the beach, so you just wait! And now, while I am still in the capital I am exploring some more of the cultural and historical sights it can offer. For instance, this Gyeongbokgung Palace was the highlight of the day. The biggest palace in Korea was the main royal Palace of the Joseon dynasty.
To match the theme, I picked my princess-like heels haha. I believe it matched my 'sporty' kinda outfit pretty well.

Dining in Itaewon

Hello hello from Iteawon! The area of Seoul famous for its international concept. By international I mean, the cafes and restaurants are offering food from the different cuisines of the world, such as British, German, American, Japanese, Thai, Russian, Indian, Mexican and so on. You can find it all here, in one place. You may also find Korean restaurants too, but if you have Iteawon in your GO-TO list, keep in mind that this district is all about cultural diversity. (You may also do some shopping there and clubbing too). Korea is really wonderful in this respect. If you look in the surroundings of Seoul you may see various places such as Itaewon, Myeondong, Insadong and all of them are specialized in something and each place is different from one another, that's why it makes Korea very interesting country to visit. It just won't be boring. There are surprises everywhere you go.

Furry sandals in Korea!

And eventually one week has passed in Seoul. I must admit time flew very quickly, I couldn't even tell we have been here for a week. But oh well, time goes on and there are  plenty of things that still are supposed to be done while we're here. Most of it are our routes of explorations or interesting  activities that we want to try. While I am at it, here you go some photos from yesterday's hangout in the cheonggyecheon stream. Too bad the photos couldn't be published yesterday as my wifi stopped working, so sorry for that.

Our apartment in Seoul

Welcome to our apartment in Seoul! It has been our sixth day here in Korea, so we though why shouldn't we take some pictures of our apartment and the view it has to offer? We also headed to the roof. Since we're living in the last floor, it's right besides our flat. We went there in the daytime, because we had some other plans prepared for the evening, but believe me the sunlight here or even the nigh looks super magnificent and maybe I will take some shots later of that too, we will see.
